lyrics

We're holding onto the rails and I think something's gonna give,
How serendipitous, a new day might just dawn from this,
We've cast our anchors into the sea, spotted land in common sense,
No rising tide nor stellar wind could ever bring this to an end!
We've got to see this through, don't end this resolve/connections evolve.
You told me with a weary smile "Well, at least we've got our past."
footprints we've left behind could influence our future (former) path.
I hope we realize one day that we're the only ones we have, and the chance to affect our future's slowly slipping though our hands. If there's a light at the end of the tunnel, why would you turn it off?
